This study is designed to support the goal of effective plan governance by providing sponsors of registered pension plans in Canada with an objective benchmark to evaluate the level of operating expenses in their plans.
We create personalized benchmarking reports that provide plan sponsors with:
- Expected Expense Ratios using our statistical model
- Distribution of expenses measured against peer group averages
- Comparisons to relevant peer groups based on Asset Size, Member Counts, and Expected Expenses
Since its inception in 2010, the Pension Fund Expense Benchmarking database has accumulated detailed expense information from more than 200 Canadian Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension plans in the public and private sectors.
