Market View
A Tool for Group Insurance Marketers
Market View provides detailed information on competitive pricing and marketing practices in the group insurance marketplace.
The study is published annually using data submitted by participating companies on a confidential basis.
Study Design
Market View consists of a dozen Modules. The majority are Rate Modules which simulate quotations and results in Rate Spreadsheets.
Each Rate Module consists of a number of variations on a particular quotation scenario. For instance, Module 1 consists of eight submodules, each of which is a 46 life case but varying in location and industry.
Many of the Rate Modules are repeated in each edition of Market View allowing for longitudinal comparisons.
The Non-Rate Modules explore actuarial and marketing practices. The data formats include cost factor comparisons and questionnaires. Some modules are repeated every few years providing a record of shifts in market practice.
All data is submitted on a confidential basis and is coded so that only the submitting company can identify its own data.
Only participating companies receive the Study Report.
